The following is the history of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple which is currently visited and worshiped by all the common Indian people.
In the early days the temple was a small temple in a rubber plantation called Buloh River. That is to say, it is in the place now known as Puspastri Johor Skill, where the temple was built and worshiped by the people who lived in the area at that time.

ஸ்ரீ மஹா மாரியம்மன் கோவில்
வணக்கம். தற்போது அனைத்து இந்திய பொது மக்களும் சென்று வழிபடும் ஸ்ரீ மஹா மாரியம்மன் கோவிலின் வரலாற்றினை பின்வருமாறு குறிப்பிடுகிறோம். ஆரம்பகாலத்தில் இந்த கோவில் புலோ ரிவெர் என்னும் ரப்பர் தோட்டத்தில் ஒரு சிறிய கோவிலாக அமைந்திருந்தது. அதாவது தற்பொழுது புஸ்பாஸ்திரி ஜோகூர் ஸ்கீல் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் இடத்தில் தான், அந்த காலத்தில் இக்கோவில், தோட்டத்தில் வாழ்ந்த மக்களால் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, அவர்களால் வழிப்படபட்டும் வந்தது.
